"There are 'Mountain People' and there are 'Ocean People' - I claim The Ocean. It would take no effort to spend the day with my camera wandering a beach, harbor, bay, jetty, sand bar, or marina. The ever-changing environment - whether it's the angle of the sun or the intensity of the wind - changes our experience with the sea.

Even in cities like San Francisco or New York, the presence of the ocean makes a cityscape that much more profound; a juxtaposition of man-made and creation. Rolling waves and soft sand have a way of condensing the overwhelming into an inconsequential release, like dandelion seeds floating on the breeze."
