"I paint fun stuff...and dance a lot!"
ABOUT
Michelle Bāzis is a writer, photographer, and artist based in Northwest Arkansas. She studied journalism and fine arts at the University of Nebraska-Omaha, and currently serves as the managing editor of Bentonville and Rogers City Lifestyle Magazines.
While Michelle's photography style leans romantic and journalistic, her paintings are bold, whimsical, and sentimental–often featuring iconic characters and nostalgic symbols.
When she isn't working on creative projects, Michelle loves to travel and enjoy the outdoors with her husband, Ben. You'll likely find her exploring the trails and lakes in Northwest Arkansas, browsing a weekend market, or catching live music with friends.

![A lot of things didn’t go our way during this trip, but something about positive company keeps perspective in focus. The flight delays, flat tire, and rain were out of our control. We worked with what we had and (I think) we made the most of the second half of our trip to St. Croix.
Leaving the USVI fresh off a half-day hike, we had snorkel mask marks on our faces and ocean water tangling our hair. I nearly got fined for forgotten grapes in my bag, and thank God I had my passport handy or I might still be in St. Croix. [Reminder: need real ID license for US territories.] But we made it home safely, grateful for the quality time and new experiences.](https://scontent.cdninstagram.com/v/t51.82787-15/708376907_18587717371010995_7145416922934225825_n.jpg?stp=dst-jpg_e35_tt6&_nc_cat=108&ccb=7-5&_nc_sid=18de74&efg=eyJlZmdfdGFnIjoiQ0FST1VTRUxfSVRFTS5iZXN0X2ltYWdlX3VybGdlbi5DMyJ9&_nc_ohc=VCtzXyyT1PoQ7kNvwGZ-MMo&_nc_oc=AdpgY7dyllBnKmzdu97kzb3QODpRlBCfrUWd7ej8XlF_HLwWLN-y7Rcmp83yLQrILtY&_nc_zt=23&_nc_ht=scontent.cdninstagram.com&edm=ANo9K5cEAAAA&_nc_gid=IkkL3MA_2Egj__hgmdNRTw&_nc_tpa=Q5bMBQFdaniYd3tbYsanPAMkfu0sLA1yGug5cTSnQOFygSg165R58Lxz4_0goa1UgUiJONBI5YEVuKVS&oh=00_Af8bv-7QxVEDxKNr7GhgLcYdCD31YfyrJcBaYAUbAp9LHg&oe=6A30C4D0)
